Unsalvageable Carpet

You arrive home and your house has been flooded. It can be caused by broken pipes, appliances, toilets, roofing or even rain or ground water. In any case it’s a mess and you need to get the water out of the carpet before it starts buckling, delaminates (the layers come apart), mildews and or molds. Carpet water is an emergency and should be dried out immediately.

Getting the water out of the carpet as soon as possible will preserve the backing and save you time and money in the long run. Make sure you have a professional assess the damage and dry it out properly. Also be sure the carpet is seamed properly, the pad is removed, dried and is stretched back in place properly.
